At Learnability we believe that one size may not fit all. Each child is unique and hence our services can be tailored to fit their learning needs and schedules. Common Questions About Our Tutoring Services
Students are paired with tutors who will build relationships with students. While the teacher gains a deeper understanding of the student’s strengths and needs, the student gains confidence during their instruction. Our individualized approach makes for engaging sessions where the student remains focused and motivated. Initially, we provide an evaluation to determine areas of strengths and weakness and develop an individualized learning plan for the student. We then provide ongoing progress updates and a re-evaluation to measure the progress made.
Online tutoring combines technology and a one-on-one multisensory learning approach to effectively help students meet their learning goals. Online tutoring allows us to work around the student’s schedule, facilitating an uninterrupted academic program. Students can experience an engaging session that is tailored to their needs with a teacher dedicated to their success.
All beginning readers, including any student who has been diagnosed with reading difficulties, will benefit from multisensory reading instruction, which facilitates learning by intentionally engaging more than one of a student’s five senses. This strategy helps readers connect language to words and concepts, resulting in deeper comprehension.
We believe that any student can make gains due to interventional tutoring. Some may want to build upon their existing skills and excel so that learning becomes fun and more rewarding. With early intervention, 90-95% of struggling readers can overcome their difficulties. With rapid remediation, students can move past struggling with reading and begin to thrive in their education.
The pandemic has resulted in the largest setbacks in reading and math scores in over 50 years, according to the National Assessment of Educational Progress. While schools are working hard to implement interventions, online tutoring, which has been shown to mitigate learning declines, can help students get back to grade level success.
Learnability’s lessons have developed our bilingual third grader into a confident reader. Not only has he increased his confidence and speed in reading, he is actually reading chapter books for enjoyment and often reads beyond his 30 minuets a day assignment.
