The Self-Determination Program (SDP) gives people who receive regional center services more choice and control over their support. Starting in 2013, SDP became available on July 1, 2021. To learn more or get help joining, contact your regional center or visit the CVRC website.

Who Qualifies for SDP-Funded Tutoring?

To qualify for Self-Determination Program (SDP)-funded tutoring, you need to fulfill these requirements:

  • Be eligible for regional center services.
  • Have a completed Individual Program Plan (IPP).
  • Select an independent facilitator.
  • Work with a Financial Management Service (FMS) provider.
